Operations Manager v5.1 is now GA!

Blog Post created by Ben Yemini Expert on Feb 10, 2015

Today we announced general availability of our latest release, Operations Manager 5.1!

Thank you to eva.tuczai for running another successful Early Access program, to all of our EA participants for helping us continue and validate the new capabilities and of course to our development team. As with every release we continue to help our customers define, drive and control their environment into the Desired State where application performance is assured while efficiency is maximized.

Key new capabilities in this release include:

Application Control Module

ACM extends Operations Manager into  common Java application servers providing auto-scaling recommendations to clone (scale out) or reconfigure (scale up) based on full understanding of application demand and the underlying infrastructure resource supply.

Storage Control Module

Expanded storage platform coverage with the  expansion of HP 3PAR and Pure Storage

Continuous Projections & Reservations Enhancements

Answer the question of what does the Desired State look like for my environment when projected into the future, and when introducing changes in Demand over different periods of time.  Simulate the future based on Reservations and future Demand and Supply changes.  Also recreate periods of High Workload Demand.

Improved User Experience

A more customizable Workload Chart and the ability to add SQL queries to panels in a custom dashboard.
