VMTurbo Group Creation using Tag or Cost Centre from VMs within VMM.

The following PowerShell Script is intended to help users to Create Groups in VMTurbo Operations Manager based on the Tag or Cost Centre of the VMs within Microsoft VMM.

Please run directly from the VMM Management server or from a system that has the VMM Manager software installed as it requires the PowerShell module from VMM to capture the information.

The script will interrogate VMTurbo and collect the IP addresses for all the added VMM Targets, which you can then select and interrogate to collect the VMs with a specific Tag or Cost Centre.

Instructions below:

1. Provide the IP or DNS of VMTurbo Operations Manager

2.The Login with the VMTurbo Credentials with an administrator role to create Groups within VMTurbo.

3. Provide the Search Criteria to use Either VMM VM Cost Center or Tag, and the name of the VMTurbo Group to Create:

Note: If the VMTurbo Group already exists the script will run a sync by removing and adding VMs based on the results of the search criteria.  If the group doesn't exist, it will be created with the VMs.

Depending on the Number of VMs found the Script will take time to run, when completed it will provide the following message
