How to get the Client Secret Key

The Client Secret Key for the Client ID/App ID related to the web application that you created could only be obtained when you generate it for the first time on the old azure portal  i.e https://manage.windowsazure.com. If you have not saved it when earlier, you can generate a new one for the same Web Application at  https://manage.windowsazure.com ( old Azure portal).

  • Navigate and click on 'Active Directory'.
  • Choose your Active Directory.
  • Click 'Applications' on the top .
  • Click on the Web Application that (you should have already create one) you have for VMTurbo's OpsManager to access resources from your Azure's Subscription.
If you have not created the web application on Azure under your Azure Subscription yet , then you can refer How to create and configure a Web Application in Azure for VMTurbo OpsManager 5.6+ on how to do it and then come back to this page.
  • In the 'Keys' section you will find your previous 'key' entry (if you had created any previously). For a new one, you only have to choose a new row in the 'Keys' Section, select a duration (usually 2 years) and finally click on 'SAVE'  in the gray bar at the end of the screen. The Key Value will be displayed after you Save it.
Note it down and keep it with you. This would be the required 'Client Secret Key' credential.
