If you don't want to monkey around with this post, let us do the work for you! Go to this post here (Request Custom Branding Logo for Turbonomic User Interface & Reports) and request your custom branding.

Otherwise, follow the directions below. This a condensed and modified version of more detailed instructions, highlighting the most common modifications (UI and Reports). For more detailed information on branding (multiple logos based on custom URLs), check out the user guide, Turbonomic Documentation: Branding.

_______

There are two logos that need to be replaced in 5.x appliances. One is the UI logo and the other is the reports and login logo.

**Note: All images are now the same dimensions. Consider creating just one logo image to replace all existing branding. (White background logo allows for this the best.)

Download Existing Branding

1) Go to: http://InsertApplianceIP/update.html

2) Login with administrator credentials

3) Select “Download Existing Branding”

4) Save the branding.zip file

UI Logo

1) Open a photo editor (Photoshop, Paint, GIMP, etc).

2) Set the dimensions of your image to be:

Width:  150 pixels

Height: 35 pixels

3) Add your logo and size it appropriately for dimensions above.

*Keep in mind that in 5.x appliances you can choose to have a white background or match the blue background of VMTurbo – either one with look fine due to updated layout.

4) Save image as:

logo-vmturbo.jpg

Reports & Login Logo

1) Open a photo editor (Photoshop, Paint, GIMP, etc).

2) Set the dimensions of your image to be:

Width:  150 pixels

Height: 35 pixels

3) Add your logo and size appropriately for dimensions above.

4) Save image as:

logo.png

logo_login.png

**Note that you are saving a PNG file and not a JPG here.

Repacking Logos Into branding.zip

1) Unzip branding.zip

2) Replace the logo-vmturbo.jpg and logo_login.png in the following directory:

\srv\www\htdocs\com.vmturbo.UI\assets\images

3) Replace the logo.png in the following directory

\srv\reports\images

4) Zip up the srv folder.

5) Rename it branding

Upload to VMTurbo

1) Go to: http://InsertApplianceIP/update.html

2) Login with administrator credentials

3) Select “Upload New Branding”

4) Select the branding.zip file and upload.

*You may have to refresh the cache of the web browser in order for the new logos to take effect.
