Turbonomic allows the user to set a Budget for any or all of your Cloud accounts. A budget provides a way to see how your actual expenses are trending against your set budget, and will act as a constraint against spending if you exceed budget.
How to Define a Budget
1) In the HTML5 UI, navigate to Settings > Budget Management
2) Select, Create Budget
3) A slide out window will appear. Supply a name, target scope, budget period, and budget amount. Click Add when finished.
By default, all cloud targets will selected as your Targets. If you'd like to set a budget on individual cloud targets, then click on the Targets text box to specify those targets.
4) The VMs Expenses vs Budget panel will now display your cloud costs against your budget.
This panel is present by default on the main Cloud dashboard. Click the "ON" button > "Cloud" > Scroll down until you see the VMs Expenses vs Budget panel.
