I have a request from a VP to let him know how many VMs have been created over the past 6 months. Is there a way to pull this info from VMTurbo?
On the Home page, you'll see 'Dashboards' on the left hand side, from there please select the Monthly Summary. Once this monthly summary comes up take a look at the Virtual Machine graphic in the lower left. This will show you the number of VMs per month. This graphic will go back 6 months if you have been running that long. This graphic can be "scoped" too so that you can select each cluster individually if you wish.
My graph only goes back 2 months, and can not be edited, at least not that i can see. I am running v4.6.
Hi Thom, is it safe to say that your Operations Manager hasn't been up and running for more than six months? You can check how long it has been up by SSH'ing into the Operations Manager and running the 'uptime' command. It sounds as if the Operations Manager has only been up for two months as you stated. Please let me know the results. Thank you.
It been up for 86 days. However its been in production for 6 months, however we have upgraded in this time. Are the metrics lost on reboot?
Hi Thom, that shouldn't be the case. The metrics are not lost on reboot/upgrade. The data should still be there. Please open up a support ticket (go to vmturbo.com and click the support link) and we can further investigate this. Thank you.
