This custom report posted by yuvals didn't work.. I got this error when it tries to open the report after being run:
My bad - I meant this:
And when you click the green + button, you see this
And if you select "From a file" option, please MAKE SURE to UNZIP the file you have downloaded and only upload the .SQL file not .SQL.ZIP (the Jive platform that runs the Green Circle will zip up what you upload).
Hope that helps!Eva
Hi eric.angus - are you running v5.0? This script has a group name in it that has to be changed:
(select member_uuid, display_name from vm_group_members where group_name = 'VM_Group')
Here you can update 'VM_Group' to be the display name of any VM Group you have. I am guessing you do not have a VM group named 'VM_Group'.
edit the sql then copy and paste this into the 5.0 Report Editor - remember to give the Report a name and short description before saving (do not leave the report unnamed).
Let me know if that helps?Eva
Ok.. Nub question... 5.0 Report Editor? And yes.. running 5.0
I don't have the add report button, only delete button. Is it permission issue?

Does everyone find this report helpful? I have run it a few times and I am surprised at the limited results I get back. It may just be I'm not getting accurate reporting back for my environment as we do patch and reboot all systems every month. Maybe I should exclude a specific time range during this 30 day window...
Hi brian.simon - I hope people do respond. I wanted to offer a perspective - this report's SQL query is really a template that allows you to define what you (and the application or VM owner) defines as "idle". Those characteristics include what metrics and what values are the maximum to be considered idle, and as you said, what time period makes sense. So if anyone has a definition of idle that works for them, please share, and share how you have modified the query. Thanks!
I tried this as well as modifying the percentages from 0.05 to 0.10 in a second copy in a new report figuring it was the numbers but no, it cannot find them! I got back a message in the file "Data Not Available" and no other contents.
