I would like to know if there is a possibility to create a custom report to gather list of all ESXi (Hypervisors) and the total number of virtual machines per environment in a single report?
In an environment where you have many VMTurbo Control instances and a VMTurbo Aggregator sitting above them, besides the standard consolidated views available in the Aggregator User Interface, you can also use the REST API to retrieve the full set of the inventory that spans across all the underlying VMTurbo Control instances. This can be useful where you need to process the information using your own tools.
For example: In Excel, to get a list of all your Physical Machines, Virtual Machines and any other entities in your inventory, you can bring in that data to Excel by selecting Data>From Web in Excel and then using the REST API URL http://VMTHOST/vmturbo/api/markets/Market/entities where VMTHOST is your VMTurbo Aggregator Hostname/IP. You will be prompted for your VMTurbo credentials and can take the defaults to the options presented to bring in the data to an existing Worksheet.
You can do the same against the REST API for each VMTurbo control instance too if you want that broken down per VMTurbo control instance, for example: you can have the data from multiple instances in different worksheets in the same Excel workbook.
More information can be found on the capabilities of the REST API in the help information in the User Interface
I hope that answers your question but let me know if you need more information.
To follow up on Simon's API suggestion, you can get a breakdown of entity totals by simply going to:
