As I'm sitting here at the office at the end of the day, I can't help but let my mind wander to thinking about one of the things I truly enjoy doing the most... Giving and Helping others. I was never a fan of receiving gifts during the holiday seasons (even on my birthday... it always felt a bit strange - not that it's wrong to get something!), but what I've always been drawn to the most is the feeling of both giving to and helping others in whatever way was possible. It was and always will be worth the smiles you bring or the families you help tremendously with your small act of kindness. I've had families rally to support my own family in times of need and will be forever grateful for their kindness.
So what I wanted to know from this awesome community is:
- what charities do you enjoy giving to or helping during the holidays? (large, small, personal charities)
- what ways do you volunteer? (big or small acts)
- what are some of the best stories/memories you've had through one of these experiences?
Let's get some positive discussion spun up and head into the holidays strong this year!
