We want to add unsupported device into Turbonomic by SDK, may we know how to get this SDK and its guide?
I have been looking into getting details on this for you and I have to apologise because I have accidentally mis-led you. The SDK is not available currently as it is being re-worked to support the recent changes in the product and so won't be available again until later this year (no committed date at this point). Sorry.
Hi Barry, We plan to make our storage device officially supported by Turbonomic, include both old versions and new versions, if new version SDK not available now, how can I get old version SDK?
I apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate that you would like to make Huawei fully integrated to Turbonomic however, you would not be able to use the old SDK as that would not work against the current product (changes to the API, Object Model etc).
For now, all I can say is that you will need to wait until the new SDK is available later this year.
As mentioned though, the hypervisor layer does provide Turbonomic with a good level of knowledge on ANY storage and so it can make decisions around storage capacity, sizing and placement improvements for workloads based on Storage amount, provisioned, IOPS and Latency.
Some customers may still use old version Turbonomic, so we may also need old version SDK for these old version Turbonomic.
Any way to get old SDK?
